Commercial Window Film for Crystal Lake Businesses and Institutions

Crystal Lake has schools and a community college, county offices, manufacturers and corporate offices, banks, medical and eye care offices, and stores and restaurants along Route 14, Randall Road and downtown. Their window problems are familiar ones: heat and glare in classrooms, atriums and offices, privacy in offices and patient areas, and security at entrances.

Every project starts on site. David Johnson, the owner, or one of our field technicians looks at the glass type, sun exposure, framing and how the space is used, and recommends the film that fits that building. Our own crews do the installation, and our headquarters is in nearby Elgin.

Window Film Services for Crystal Lake Commercial Properties

Safety and Security Film Security window film holds broken glass together. Attached to the frame, it keeps the glass in the opening longer, so forcing entry takes more time and effort, at school and office entrances, storefronts and sidelights. It does not make glass unbreakable, and it is not bulletproof; see What Security Window Film Can and Cannot Do and, for schools, Security Film, Laminated Glass or Polycarbonate for School Entrances. Solar Control Film Classrooms, atriums, offices and storefronts along Route 14 and Randall Road with south, east and west facing glass bring heat and glare onto students, workstations and displays. Solar control film reduces the sun’s heat on the existing glass; darker films also cut glare, while lighter films keep the glass looking clear but cut less glare. We check every film against the glass type first; see Will Window Film Crack Your Glass? and Can Window Film Fix Hot Spots and Glare? Learn more about solar control film →

Privacy Film Medical, dental and eye care offices, professional offices, school offices and board rooms use frosted and gradient film to screen views while passing daylight. Frosted film obscures direct views day and night, although silhouettes may remain visible. Reflective and one-way films generally lose their privacy when the inside is brighter than the outside, as we explain in Does Privacy Window Film Work at Night? Learn more about privacy film →

Bird Strike Film Large glass near the lake, trees and open space can be a collision risk for birds. Exterior patterned bird film makes the glass visible to birds; see Bird Collision Window Film for Existing Buildings. Learn more about bird strike film →

Decorative Film Libraries, office tenants, healthcare offices and stores use decorative film to brand interior glass, finish lobbies and reception areas and define conference rooms without permanent construction, and it can be removed later, which suits leased space. Anti-Graffiti Film Storefront and street-level glass and mirrors can take sacrificial anti-graffiti film, which takes the tagging and scratching instead of the glass and is replaced when damaged. Learn more about anti-graffiti film →
