Lake in the Hills has medical and healthcare offices, manufacturers and contractors, stores and restaurants along Randall Road and Algonquin Road, churches and professional offices. Their window problems are familiar ones: heat and glare in exam rooms, offices and storefronts, privacy in offices and patient areas, and security at entrances.
Every project starts on site. David Johnson, the owner, or one of our field technicians looks at the glass type, sun exposure, framing and how the space is used, and recommends the film that fits that building. Our own crews do the installation, and our headquarters is in nearby Elgin.
Our work in Lake in the Hills
Here are some of the projects we have completed in Lake in the Hills. This is a sample, not a complete list of our work there.
UrbanCare. From 2016 to 2020 we returned several times to install Sentinel Plus S/S 15 reflective solar control film around the building, including 32 panels in a new area in 2018.
Children’s Medical Group. In 2018 we installed Slate 30 and Hilite 40 solar control film in exam rooms, offices, the hallway and waiting areas, about 500 square feet, and in 2025 we returned to replace the film in one exam room.
Winco Plastics. In 2021 we installed Slate 10, 20 and 40 solar control film in reception, offices and accounting, and clear frosted film on about 90 door panels.
Healthcare and church offices. Silver 20 solar control film on the west and north windows at Northern Illinois Foot & Ankle (2017), Slate 30 in the offices and on the exit door at Horizon Chiropractic (2020), and Slate 10 on the front office door and windows at New Life Baptist Church (2021).
Stores and restaurants. Slate 10 on the storefronts at Elite Laser and Skin Spa and EuroPlumber (2021), TrueVue 5 on five storefront panels at Rock N Grill (2017), blackout film on four panels in the gaming area at Buddyz Pizza (2017), and blackout panels at the Verizon store (2016).
Offices and other buildings. Silver 20 on two office panels at Shield Roof Solutions (2019), film on two doors at Riggsby (2017), and black film on one panel on Pyott Road (2025).
